Himachal Dental College successfully organized the prestigious White Coat Ceremony and Orientation Ceremony on Monday, October 8, 2025, for the newly admitted MDS and BDS first-year students. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Kartikeyan Gokulachandran, IPS (Commandant, 3rd India Reserve Battalion, Pandoh), along with the esteemed presence of College Director Dr. Anil Singla, Principal Dr. Baljeet Singh, and Vice-Principal Dr. Devender Sharma, accompanied by the entire faculty. During the ceremony, 29 MDS and 60 BDS students took the oath to uphold the dignity, ethics, and spirit of service in the dental profession. In his motivating address, Dr. Kartikeyan encouraged students to make a positive and meaningful impact on society, emphasizing that dentistry is not just a profession but a noble medium of service. The annual White Coat Ceremony stands as a significant tradition, introducing new students to their responsibilities as future dental professionals. Following this, an Orientation Ceremony was held for BDS first-year students, where Principal Dr. Baljeet Singh guided them through their academic journey, including various subjects, departments, and the core values of dentistry. Students also received essential insights into discipline, study methods, and professional growth for their five-year BDS program. The entire event infused students with enthusiasm, accountability, and renewed dedication toward dentistry. The program was successfully coordinated by Dr. Rajib Biswas, Dr. Liza Sachdeva, Dr. Tamanna Sharma, Dr. Lipikansha, Dr. Pankaj Dhiman, Dr. Akash Agnihotri, and the BDS first-year students.
