Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar, was conferred the prestigious “Dr. Kedar N. Rustagi Award for Community and Humanitarian Services” by the International College of Dentists (ICD) in recognition of its outstanding contributions to community and humanitarian dental care during 2025. The award was presented on 01 March 2026 at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, and was received by the Principal, Dr. Baljeet Singh, in the presence of ICD Global President Dr. Julio Rodriguez, ICD Section VI President Dr. V.S. Kohli, Secretary Dr. Yogesh Virmani, and Dr. Mahesh Verma, Editor-in-Chief of the ICD Journal and Vice Chancellor of the University. On this occasion, the Directors, Dr. Anil Singla and Dr. Vikas Jindal, stated that the honour reflects the institution’s continued commitment to community outreach and excellence in Public Health Dentistry; in 2025 alone, the college conducted over 55 free dental camps, screening more than 6,000 individuals, while over 800 patients received comprehensive treatment through its fully equipped Mobile Dental Van. This recognition is a matter of pride for the institution and District Mandi, highlighting the dedicated efforts of faculty and students in promoting community service, improving access to oral healthcare, and reducing the burden of dental diseases.
