An informative session under the NSE Smart Investor Awareness Program was conducted for the undergraduate students of Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar, on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, in hybrid mode. The lecture aimed to promote financial literacy and empower students with essential knowledge about the functioning of the Indian stock market and the importance of responsible investing. The resource person delivered an insightful and interactive talk covering key aspects such as understanding how the market operates, recognizing genuine investment opportunities, identifying and protecting oneself from financial scams and online frauds, and adopting a disciplined approach toward saving and investing. Students also gained valuable insights into the role of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in ensuring transparency, investor protection, and the smooth functioning of financial markets. The session emphasized the need for every young professional to be financially informed, aware, and cautious in managing their personal finances.
