As per the annual tradition, Team HDC proudly participated in the 23rd Annual Bal Mela held at Nagrota Bhagwan, Kangra, located 150 km from the college. This year’s camp was conducted on the occasion of the 71st birth anniversary of Late Shri G.S. Bali, a visionary leader dedicated to public welfare. Spanning two enriching days on the 26th and 27th of July, the team provided comprehensive dental services, screening a total of 261 patients, offering individualized health education, tobacco cessation counseling, and treating 48 patients on-site in a fully equipped dental van. The camp was graced by the presence of Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Technical Minister, Himachal Pradesh Government, and Shri R.S. Bali, Cabinet Minister, Himachal Pradesh Government, who encouraged and appreciated the team’s efforts. This experience not only strengthened the bond between the college and the community but also fostered teamwork, empathy, and the spirit of service among the students — a powerful reminder that dentistry truly goes beyond the four walls of the classroom.
